Youth can now reach out directly to the Mission Director; two MoUs signed for AI and soft skills training
Skilled youth to build a self-reliant Uttar Pradesh; ‘Kaushal Vatika’ inaugurated at headquarters
Lucknow: Linking skill development with new technology and transparency, the Yogi government rolled out a fresh initiative on Independence Day. The Uttar Pradesh Skill Development Mission (UPSDM) celebrated the 80th Independence Day at its headquarters with patriotic fervour and several new initiatives. On the occasion, the ‘Kaushal Sampark’ QR code was launched to give trainees a direct channel to convey their feedback to the Mission.
The programme began with Mission Director Pulkit Khare hoisting the national flag, after which officers and staff paid tribute to the tricolour with the singing of the national anthem.
Speaking on the occasion, Mission Director Pulkit Khare said independence makes citizens conscious not only of their rights but also of their responsibilities. He noted that the Yogi government is continuously launching new initiatives through the Mission to make Uttar Pradesh skilled and self-reliant, adding that today’s youth need to be equipped not just with employable skills but also with knowledge of new technologies and soft skills. A skilled youth, he said, strengthens their family economically while also contributing to the state’s development.
During the event, two Memoranda of Understanding (MoUs) were signed with NTPC Teevra EdTech Private Limited and Fulgor Energy Private Limited to connect young people with modern skills. Under these MoUs, youth will receive specialised training in Artificial Intelligence and Soft Skills, improving their technical knowledge as well as their communication ability, personality development and job readiness.

To improve the quality of training, the ‘Kaushal Sampark’ QR code was launched. By scanning the QR code displayed at training centres, youth will be able to share how their training is going, what they liked, and what could be improved. They will also be able to register complaints or suggestions. Feedback gathered through this system will reach the Mission directly, helping improve monitoring and quality at training centres.
A ‘Kaushal Vatika’ was also inaugurated at the headquarters premises, aimed at increasing greenery and spreading the message of environmental conservation.
Officers and staff who played a key role in the success of the World Youth Skills Day 2026 programmes held on July 15 at Indira Gandhi Pratishthan, Lucknow, were honoured with certificates of appreciation on the occasion. Additional Mission Director Pooja Mishra, Joint Director Mayank Gangwar, Finance Controller Sandeep Kumar, Assistant Director Dr M.K. Singh, Assistant Director Pavitra Tandon, COO Ashish Kumar, and other senior officers and staff of the Mission were present.
